Moldova Presents exhibition inaugurated in Vaslui: Moldovan products promoted in Romania by 60 local companies
Over 60 local companies are taking part in Moldova Presents exhibition, inaugurated in the city of Vaslui, Romania, today. The event provides Moldovan producers with a platform for promoting their products and services on the Romanian market, as well as an opportunity to identify new business partners.
This is the second edition of the exhibition and it will be open for three days, until June 7. It is organized by Moldova’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Vaslui, the Vaslui City Hall and the Vaslui County Council.
The 60 participating companies represent various economic sectors, including the food industry, textiles, agricultural production, handicrafts and others. In addition to the exhibition component, the event’s agenda includes B2B business meetings held in the Zbor HUB hall, aimed at facilitating direct dialogue between entrepreneurs from Moldova and Romania and contributing to the development of new trade and investment relations.
Present at the opening ceremony, CCI President Sergiu Harea emphasized that the event brought together businesspeople from both banks of the Prut River, offering them the opportunity to develop lasting partnerships and successful businesses.
“Through the Moldova Presents exhibition we promote everything we value most – our products, services and entrepreneurs. Romania is the main commercial partner of Moldova and the primary gateway to the European Union market. The trade between our countries has exceeded 4 billion dollars, which shows the huge existing potential for cooperation. We will not stop at the second edition in Vaslui, but will continue this nice tradition,” said Sergiu Harea.
For his part, the mayor of Vaslui municipality, Lucian Braniste, appreciated the continuity of the project and its impact on the development of economic and cultural relations between the two banks of the Prut.
“It is important to strengthen this partnership. We are happy that you came to showcase the authenticity of products from Moldova. The first edition was a success, which is why this year as well, we are organizing business meetings to create new opportunities for collaboration. Thank you for choosing to be with us in Vaslui,” the mayor noted.
President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Vaslui Ionel Constantin highlighted the strategic role of the cross-border economic cooperation.
“Here in Vaslui, the two banks of the Prut come together and a common road to Europe takes shape. I thank all the partners involved in organizing this exhibition and I invite the residents of the county to discover the products and offers of companies from Moldova,” said Ionel Constantin.
The Moldova Presents exhibition is one of the most important economic promotion projects carried out by Moldova’s CCI in Romania. The first edition was organized in Iasi in 2016, and since then the event has become a tradition, being hosted by more cities of Romania, including Brasov, Baia Mare, Cluj-Napoca and Vaslui.
