
Moldova to participate in Expo Osaka 2025 World Exhibition
Chisinau, 11 December /MOLDPRES/ - The government today approved Moldova’s participation in the Expo Osaka 2025 World Exhibition. Over 150 countries will participate in the exhibition and about 28 million visitors are expected at the event during six months. The draft also sees the aspect regarding the participation’s financing, which will be provided at the expense and within the limits envisaged in the budget of the Economic Development and Digitalization Ministry (MDED).
Thus, decision-makers will be able to make transfers of financial means from MDED’s account to Moldexpo, which is the national authority in charge of Moldova’s participation in the Exhibition due in Japan.
„Our country’s participation in this exhibition represents an opportunity of promotion internationally, as well as the possibility to present its potential in diverse sectors of the national economy. At the same time, Japan is an important economic partner of Moldova and a donor of technical and financial assistance,’’ MDED said.
The exhibition will be staged during 13 April – 13 October 2025.
At the previous exhibition, staged in Dubai in 2021, Moldova got more performances. Or, 174,133 people from 113 countries visited Moldova’s pavilion, where 27 activities were carried out and 70 delegations were received.
Also at that time, Moldova was awarded three great prizes on behalf of the organizers of Expo 2020: silver price (second place) from the Mobility District for the development of the topic-related content, diploma for the best logo of pavilion and diploma for the most hospitable pavilion.
