Moldovan airline company launches direct flight Chisinau – Kiev in August
Chisinau, 04 July /MOLDPRES/ – Air Moldova announces the launch of flights on destination Chisinau – Kiev – Chisinau from 01 August 2018. Thus, not only passengers in Moldova will be able to fly to Kiev, but also those in Ukraine will be able to benefit from Air Moldova services to reach Europe and Russia with a transfer through Chisinau.
The flight to Kiev will be operated daily with an aircraft Airbus 319. The price of a one – way flight will start at €77, with all taxes included.
Air Moldova operates direct flights to 33 destinations in Europe, Russia and Asia such as: Athens, Barcelona, Bologna, Brussels, Bucharest, Dubai, Dublin, Geneva, Istanbul, Ekaterinburg, Florence, Madrid, Milan, Moscow, Paris, Rome, Venice, Verona, Vienna, Sankt – Petersburg, Tel – Aviv and Turin, additionally seasonal races – Antalya, Dalaman, Heraklion, Tivat and Sharm el Sheikh.
The government approved earlier in 2018 the signing of the Air Services Agreement with Ukraine, resulting liberalisation of the air transport market between Chisinau and Kiev.
Currently, bilateral air transport relations between the two countries are governed by the Agreement between the Governments of Moldova and Ukraine on Air Services, signed in Chisinau on 20 March 1993, as well as a series of additional protocols concluded on the basis of provisions of that document between the aeronautical authorities of both states. The new Agreement contains provisions applicable to carriage of persons and goods between countries and focuses on the principles of liberalisation, which correspond to modern trends and recommendations of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).
The agreement is due to enter into force not earlier than 15 July 2018.
