Chisinau, 9 December /MOLDPRES/ - The control over the ships registered in Moldova will be carried out only by the companies enjoying the recognition of the European Commission. The parliament today approved a draft law to this effect in the final reading.

According to the authors, the amendments made today to the code of sea navigation will discourage the fraudulent schemes and will not allow Moldovan ships to endanger people’s lives.

The quoted source said that the normative solution would re-bring the state’s control over its ships.
