Deputy PM in Brussels says Moldovans choose country to be part of European Union

Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov today participated in the event, State of Europe 2025, organized in Brussels by the Jacques Delors Friends of Europe Foundation. The debate brought together European leaders and officials, including President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović, Romania's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Oana Toiu and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba.

Cristina Gherasimov referred to the future of the European Union and the role of the enlargement process in building a "stronger and more united" Europe. The official presented the ongoing reforms in Moldova and the country's contribution to the security of the European continent.

"The choice of our citizens a month ago clearly showed that they want a country that is part of the EU, where people live in dignity, peace and prosperity," Gherasimov said.

According to the deputy PM, Moldova's participation in such European platforms confirms the firm commitment of the authorities to continue reforms and the irreversible rapprochement with the European Union.
