Moldova becomes part of European network of Artificial Intelligence Factories
The Republic of Moldova officially joins the European initiative AI Factories, a strategic program of the European Union dedicated to the development and use of advanced artificial intelligence infrastructures.
According to the Ministry of Education and Research, our country will be represented by FAIMA - AI Factory Antenna from Moldova, one of the 13 antennas selected by EuroHPC (the European High-Performance Computing Joint Undertaking).
FAIMA will connect Moldova to the European supercomputing network, providing researchers, startups, and public institutions access to advanced artificial intelligence resources, secure data, and modern infrastructures for innovation.
FAIMA antenna will be linked to PIAST Artificial Intelligence Factory in Poland, creating a bridge of collaboration between the innovation ecosystems in the region.
The launch of FAIMA is a direct result of the cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and the European Commission, following the visit to Chisinau by Henna Virkkunen, the Vice President of the European Commission for Technological Sovereignty, Security, and Democracy.
