Investment opportunities in the Republic of Moldova, development of production capacities and logistics infrastructure, as well as expansion of economic partnerships were the main issues discussed by Prime Minister Vasile Tofan with more than 100 entrepreneurs from business clubs in Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa and Dnipro.

Representatives of major Ukrainian companies also took part in the discussions, including ATB, one of the country’s largest retailers; Biosphere, a consumer goods manufacturer; and Kormotech, a company specializing in the production of pet food.

The Prime Minister emphasized the Republic of Moldova’s interest in attracting Ukrainian companies that wish to expand their operations and take advantage of the opportunities offered by the country as an additional production and logistics platform complementary to Ukraine.

“Come and invest in Moldova, produce here, create jobs, and use our country as a platform to reach Romania and the EU market. For us, the outcome must be very concrete: more factories, warehouses, and logistics centers, more exports, more taxes paid here, and most importantly more well-paid jobs for the people of Moldova,” he said.

He highlighted the importance of creating a business environment conducive to investment, including by reducing bureaucracy and simplifying procedures. The discussions also addressed opportunities to expand investment in logistics and transport infrastructure so that the Republic of Moldova can serve as an additional production and logistics platform for Ukrainian companies.

Investment Agency Director Natalia Bejan also attended the meeting and presented the facilities available to investors, as well as the economic sectors in which Ukrainian companies can develop their activities in the Republic of Moldova.

During the visit, the Prime Minister also met with the founders of Nova Post to discuss expanding investments in logistics and transport infrastructure. The company has approximately 650 employees in the Republic of Moldova and paid more than 60 million lei in taxes in 2025.
