Moldovan president has meeting with delegation of European affairs committees from, Baltic, Nordic states, Poland
President Maia Sandu today received the joint delegation of the Committees for European Affairs Committees from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Sweden, Finland, and Poland, on a working visit to Chisinau.
The discussions focused on the priorities and developments related to the European integration of Moldova, as well as the security situation in the region. An important topic of the meeting was the need to keep support for Ukraine high on the international agenda.
The delegation members expressed appreciation for Moldova’s resilience in the face of foreign interference in democratic processes. At the same time, they reaffirmed their strong support for the European path of Moldova, reviewing the progress achieved so far.
In the context, both sides underlined the importance of continuing and strengthening efforts in the field of justice and security, including by intensifying actions to combat disinformation and information manipulation. The head of state reiterated the commitment to advance the reforms under the European Union accession process at an accelerated pace, so as to deliver concrete results and fully meet citizens’ expectations.
