The examination of current issues concerning the situation in the Security Zone has continued in Bender.

As for media representatives’ access to the activities of the Joint Control Commission, the position of the Moldova’s Delegation remains firm: no abusive accreditation conditions will be allowed for journalists from the right bank of the Dniester; interference by Transnistrian security structures in this process will not be tolerated.

The counterproductive approach of the Tiraspol representatives is hindering progress in resolving the issue of journalists’ participation in the work of the Commission.

During the meeting, the Delegation of Moldova said that, with the transition to summer military uniforms in the National Army, a process that began on March 20, this year, the National Army Contingent of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces in the Security Zone would observe the regulations on wearing the distinctive insignia of the National Army personnel, in accordance with the Decree of Moldova’s President No. 1287/2023.

The Delegation of Moldova asked the Tiraspol representatives, who made insinuations on this subject, to focus on eliminating the illegal checkpoints that hinder the free movement of citizens in the Security Zone.
