Moldovan deputy PM for reintegration has meeting with Sweden’s Ambassador

Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri today had a meeting with Ambassador of Sweden to Moldova Petra Lärke.

The discussions included an exchange of opinions on current developments in the Transnistrian settlement process. Particular attention was given to respecting human rights and fundamental freedoms in the Transnistrian region.

The Swedish diplomat was also informed about the latest efforts undertaken by the Moldovan government, in the context of the reintegration process, as well as the measures taken to operationalize the Convergence Fund.

Deputy Prime Minister Valeriu Chiveri expressed his appreciation for Sweden’s continued support for Moldova, including through assistance projects aimed at strengthening trust and contributing to closer ties between the communities on both banks of the Dniester.
