Chisinau, May 20 / MOLDPRES /- Priority issues on the agenda of the Moldovan-Dutch dialogue and regional developments in the context of the Ukrainian war were discussed at a meeting between Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița and a group of parliamentarians from the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
As regards the European integration of Moldova, the premier said that the irreversibility of the EU integration process requires a lot of support, including from the Dutch side. According to the Moldovan official, currently the Moldovan-community agenda includes issues on the liberalization of road transport, the abolition of quotas for the export of Moldovan products to the European Union, the reduction of roaming charges.
"We have taken on the responsibility to identify quick solutions to the crisis caused by the war in Ukraine and to strengthen the economic security of our country. At the same time, to meet the challenges, we still need the support, investments and additional assistance from the EU states", said Gavrilița.
The parliamentarians emphasized that the Kingdom of the Netherlands will continue to help the Republic of Moldova in its dialogue with the EU and will provide the necessary humanitarian and financial assistance to our country. Priority will be given to assistance from the Netherlands in areas such as human rights, good governance and democracy, the independent press, the judiciary and the rule of law. The parties also discussed the importance of exchanging experiences in cyber security, digitalization and the intensification of trade and economic cooperation for the benefit of the citizens of both countries.
