Moldova's citizens working legally in Slovakia to have access to pensions, other social benefits
Citizens of Moldova who have officially worked in Slovakia will be able to receive pensions and other social benefits from this state. The cabinet of ministers approved the initiation of negotiations on the draft Administrative Arrangement for the implementation of the Agreement between Moldova and Slovakia in the social security sector.
The document aims to facilitate inter-institutional cooperation for the implementation of rights to pension and other social benefits for citizens who work or having worked in the two states.
Thus, the state will ensure the right to a pension for persons who have paid social contributions, even if they have not worked for at least 15 years in Moldova, but by cumulating the years worked in the two countries, meet this condition. Moldova and Slovakia will calculate and pay the pension only for the insurance periods carried out on their own territory, applying the principle of proportionality.
More details about the states with which Moldova has concluded agreements in the field of social security are available on the website of the National Social Insurance House.
