
Moldova, U.S state consolidate partnership
Chisinau, 9 October /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Valeriu Strelet today signed a Memorandum of Principles and Procedures between Moldova and the U.S. state of North Carolina, aimed to strengthen bilateral cooperation, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
The event was preceded by a meeting of the Moldovan prime minister and Secretary of State of the State North Carolina (USA) Elaine Marshall; the two officials discussed bilateral relations and prospects for their development.
Strelet touched upon the evolution of the bilateral cooperation partnership, emphasising the need to further enhance and consolidate ties, especially within the Moldova-U.S. Strategic Dialogue. He thanked American partners for their continuous support in various fields.
The Moldovan official praised Marshall’s contribution and commitment to consolidate cooperation ties between the two states.
For her part, the U.S. official said it was necessary to deepen bilateral dialogue to identify new cooperation fields. She also confirmed North Carolina’s willingness to further back Moldova to achieve its goals.
The sides also tackled ways to gradually extend cooperation in the justice, agriculture and energy sectors.
