Moldovan government supports implementation of infrastructure development projects in Gagauzia
Chisinau, 05 September /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister Pavel Filip participated with the UTA Gagauz-Yeri Bashkan, Irina Vlah, at the inauguration of the Avdarma – Ferapontievca road in the region today, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The prime minister congratulated the locals on this occasion, expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to the project, as also set out in the Action Plan on Social-Economic Development of the Gagauz-Yeri Territorial Unit for 2016-2019.
At the same time, the head of the Executive said that this progress of the area could serve as an example for other localities. "Everything we do is measured just how you feel. When people live in well-being, we will know that the Government has achieved all its objectives," said Pavel Filip.
The construction works on the 5,2 km long road built according to modern technologies started in November 2016. The total value of the project is about MDL 30 million, the financial means being allocated from the Road Fund of the Republic of Moldova and the National Regional Development Fund.
Another objective visited by the Prime Minister was the District Hospital in Comrat, which surgical block was put into operation in May 2017. The Prime Minister discussed with doctors and patients and noted the modern work and treatment conditions in newly renovated sections.
Also, Pavel Filip went to the construction site of the new hospital in the region, a project financed by the Turkish Government through the Turkish Agency for Co-operation and Coordination. In this context, the head of the Executive expressed interest in further taking over Turkey's good practices and experience, noting that the renovation of medical institutions was in line with the strategic aspirations of the Government, which has aimed to launch the essential healthcare reforms.
