Chisinau, 17 June /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today had a meeting with Ambassador of the European Union to Moldova Peter Michalko. The officials reviewed subjects on the agenda of cooperation with the European Union, as well as the ones dealing with the domestic present state, the presidential press service has reported.
„The EU Ambassador assured us of the continuity of the European support for the Moldovan citizens. A very good signal in this respect is the plan on economic recovery for Moldova, recently announced by the European Commission, as well as numerous development projects the European Union is implementing in our country,’’ Maia Sandu said.
The head of state also discussed with the EU Ambassador the present situation in Moldova. ‘’I reiterated that our immediate priority is the holding of free and fair snap elections on 11 July. The EU election observation missions will have an important role in this process,’’ the Moldovan president stressed.
