
Moldovan speaker, European official approach justice reform, cooperation
Chisinau, 21 October /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Igor Grosu held a dialogue in Athens today with Secretary General of the Council of Europe Marija Pejčinović Burić, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.
The speaker thanked for the openness and support provided to the Republic of Moldova in reforming the justice sector, developing an economic recovery program, cooperating with local public authorities, regional security, as well as in the fight against COVID-19 and energy crisis.
Igor Grosu assured that the changes started in the society and political class are inevitable and are supported by all Moldovan citizens.
"We have an ambitious agenda and we are determined to fulfill it in order to reform Moldova, so that our citizens can live well at home," he said.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the European Conference of Speakers of the member states of the Council of Europe, held in Athens on 21-22 October.
