Moldovan speaker meets PABSEC Secretary General
Chisinau, 9 August /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Igor Grosu had a meeting today with Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) Asaf Hajiyev, on a visit to Chisinau, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.
Asaf Hajiyev congratulated Igor Grosu on his election as speaker, wishing him success in fulfilling the development commitment of the Republic of Moldova and in the joint efforts to increase the welfare of the peoples of the Black Sea region.
The PABSEC Secretary General underlined the Moldovan parliament's contribution to the activities of the organization and voiced confidence of good mutual cooperation in the future.
The speaker welcomed the presence of the Secretary General in our country in the context of designing the new stage of collaboration.
Igor Grosu expressed the determination of the Legislature to give a new impetus to the interaction within PABSEC, an influential organization in the politics and economy of the Black Sea region.
The sides shared the idea of the need to strengthen cooperation in the PABSEC area in order to maintain and strengthen the security and welfare of the states in the region.
The PABSEC includes the parliaments of 12 states - Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, the Republic of Moldova, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine, and Northern Macedonia will join.
