
PM meets Moldovans residing in Switzerland and Liechtenstein
Chisinau, June 26. /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Dorin Recean met in Zurich with Moldovans settled in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. The discussions focused on the challenges facing our country, as well as the Government's actions in the commitment to develop the economy of the Republic of Moldova, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
Recean referred to the reforms initiated by the authorities in the European modernization process. He also spoke about the investment potential in our country and the opportunities to launch businesses, including in the countryside.
"I met dozens of families at home who returned from the diaspora and built successful businesses in the Republic of Moldova. Beautiful things can be done in our country with much perseverance, using the experience gained in other countries, and with the support of the Government and development partners. I invite you to continue working together, to build a better future in Moldova", Recean also said.
Recean together with Deputy Prime Minister Dumitru Alaiba answered the questions regarding the advantages of the Free Trade Agreement, which will be signed on Tuesday with the European Free Trade Association. Moldovan citizens inquired about the possibility to conclude a social protection agreement between the Republic of Moldova, Switzerland and Liechtenstein and about the measures adopted by the government to increase the quality of life of citizens.
The officials reiterated the priorities on the country's modernization agenda, focusing on economic growth and regional development.
Recean is paying a working visit to Switzerland on June 25-26.
