Moldovan PM meets group of foreign investors
Prime Minister Dorin Recean today met representatives of international funds interested in investing in such areas as healthcare, technology, cybersecurity and launching new projects in various industries. The businesspeople said that they had decided to explore the opportunities provided by Moldova to come with new products and start-up initiatives.
The PM welcomed the entrepreneurs' interest, noting that Moldova had many opportunities that can be tapped into such sectors as infrastructure, energy, electronics, information technologies and agriculture. At the same time, the prime minister highlighted that the authorities continued to encourage businesses and reduce bureaucracy, in order to ensure a friendly environment for all those who decide to invest Moldova.
“We have talent and innovation and we are seeking long-term investments and capital, in order to help modernize our economy. Although there are numerous challenges generated by the regional context, we stay a safe country for investments and provide a range of facilities,” the prime minister mentioned.
On April 16, the businesspeople will participate in the Start-up Moldova Summit – an event due to bring together over 40 international and local investors, as well as global experts in Chisinau. The agenda will include discussions on innovation, investments and start-ups’ development. Participants will also discuss the impact of the artificial intelligence, financial technology and the development of the start-ups’ ecosystem.
