Moldovan government approves Access to Culture national programme
The government supports the development of culture locally, especially in rural regions and communities with limited access to cultural activities. A programme containing a string of measures to this end was approved by the cabinet of ministers today.
The programme will establish a clear schedule of activities conducted in the sector, with projects set to launch in May. At the same time, a guide for applicants will be developed and a Coordinating Council will be established.
An essential element of the programme is cultural mobility – supporting the circulation of initiatives and projects between regions and creating bridges between local culture and the international space.
Thus, the Access to Culture national programme will promote cultural diversity, encourage citizens' participation in cultural life and contribute to integrating national values into the European space.
For the 2025 year, the programme has a budget of 50 million lei.
