Bălți court validated Nicolai Grigorișin's term as mayor
Chisinau, Dec. 22 / MOLDPRES /- Bălți court has confirmed the legality of the new local elections in the municipality and validated the term of office of Nicolai Grigorișin as mayor.
Independent candidate Nicolai Grigorișin obtained 7,148 votes, for the candidate of the Patriots of Moldova Party, Nicolae Chirilciuc, 1,248 citizens voted. In the second round of the new local elections, less than 10% went to the polls. from voters.
According to the Electoral Code, during the second round of voting, the candidate who obtained the highest number of votes is considered elected, regardless of the number of those who participated in the elections.
The second round of the new local elections in Balti took place on December 19.
