CEC begins printing ballots for postal voting
The Central Electoral Commission /CEC/ begins printing the ballots that will be used for postal voting in the parliamentary elections on September 28, 2025.
According to the CEC, in accordance with the provisions of the electoral code, representatives of electoral competitors, media and accredited observers can attend the process of manufacturing the ballot template, printing the ballots, as well as the elimination of the template.
The ballots will be printed starting 8 September 2025, at 10:00 AM.
In total, over 2,600 citizens have registered to cast their vote by mail in the parliamentary elections. Most registered persons are from the USA - 1,399 registrations, Canada – 682; Kingdom of Sweden – 166; Republic of Finland – 121; Kingdom of Norway – 109; Australia – 57; Iceland – 38; Japan – 14; Republic of Korea – 13 registrations, and New Zealand – seven registrations.
The Republic of Moldova applied, for the first time, postal voting in the presidential elections and the republican constitutional referendum in the fall of last year. The method was used in the USA, Canada, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland.
