CEC warns voters: three days left to declare residence

The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) reminded on 1 September that eligible voters have three more days to declare their new place of residence if they have changed it since the last elections. The procedure is carried out at the town hall where the voter resides.

By declaring the place of residence, the person will be included in the electoral list corresponding to the new address, with the note “Residence Declaration” in the “Note” section. At the same time, they will be automatically removed from the electoral list of their domicile or temporary residence.

To submit the declaration, the identity document is required. The registrar will enter the data into the State Register of Voters and will issue a receipt confirming the registration.

CEC notes that the deadline for declaring the place of residence is September 3, 2025, which is 25 days before the election. The submitted documents will only be valid for the autumn elections, and declarations registered for previous elections are no longer considered valid.

On 28 September 2025, parliamentary elections will be held in the Republic of Moldova.
