
DOC €1.9 billion Moldova-European Union Facility Agreement published in Official Journal
The decree of promulgation and the law for ratifying the Facility Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union on specific modalities for implementing support granted by the European Union, within the Reform and Growth Facility for Moldova have been published in the Official Journal.
The general objectives of the document are: supporting the enlargement process by accelerating alignment with the values, provisions, stipulations, and principles of European Union legislation; supporting the progressive integration of Moldova's internal market into the community market; and accelerating socioeconomic convergence with the European Union.
Thus, our country will benefit from financial support worth 1.9 billion euros. This includes a grant component worth 520 million euros, intended for investments, technical assistance and credit guarantees.
Additionally, the Republic of Moldova will receive loans worth 1.5 billion euros, which will be disbursed depending on the progress made in implementing the assumed reforms.
Financial support will be granted under conditions set out in the Reform Agenda of Growth Plan for Moldova. It contains 153 measures and 56 reforms to be implemented by late 2027.
The Facility Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union was signed on 9 May 2025.
