Elections in diaspora: Foreign Ministry announces postal voting envelopes sent
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today that it has sent the postal voting envelopes to Moldovan citizens who registered in advance for the 28 September parliamentary election.
According to the ministry, the envelopes have already reached Moldovans in: Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand - 86 people; Canada - 641 people; Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Iceland - 406 people. The most envelopes, 1,339, have been sent to Moldovans in the United States of America.
Through this mechanism, Moldovan citizens abroad can exercise their constitutional right to vote, regardless of their location.
Additionally, the authorities remind that all citizens can find useful information about the electoral process on the official platform dedicated to diaspora: diaspora.cec.md.
