Iurie Mahu appointed deputy head of General Inspectorate of Probation

The Cabinet of Ministers approved the appointment of Iurie Mahu as deputy head of the General Inspectorate of Probation, responsible for electronic monitoring, communication and external relations.

Minister of Justice Veronica Mihailov-Moraru proposed Mahu's appointment starting from September 18. Iurie Mahu has been working in the probation system since 2012 and is currently the head of the research and development department.

“Based on his practical experience in the strategic management of the institution, professional training activities, and cooperation with international partners in external assistance projects, we reckon he will be capable of managing the areas of electronic monitoring, communication, and external relations,” said Minister Mihailov-Moraru.

At the same time, the Government released Alexandru Oprea from the position of director of IGSU and approved the appointment of Aurel Baciu in his place.
