According to the quoted source, in the last four years, Italy has supported Moldova with 90 million euros, funds directed to projects that helped vulnerable families pay their energy invoices.
At the same time, Maia Sandu announced two important measures for Moldovans settled in Italy: as of September 1, 2025, Moldovan citizens will be able to receive a pension for the years worked in Italy, regardless of whether they choose to stay there or return home; starting from November 8, 2025, the agreement regarding the conversion of Moldovan driving licenses will come into force.
‘’We are grateful for Italy's constant support, and we will continue together to promote peace, prosperity and the European future of our citizens,’’ added the Moldovan president.
