Moldovan central electoral commission accredits more observers

Chisinau, 20 August /MOLDPRES/ - The members of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has accredited national and international observers for the monitoring of the republican constitutional referendum and the presidential elections due on 20 October 2024. CEC also authorized the conducting of opinion polls on the political likings of voters on the electoral period.  

According to CEC’s decision, the Commission today accredited nine persons as national observers on behalf of the Promo-LEX Public Association and six people as international observers on behalf of the Embassy of Lithuania in Moldova.  

Also, the CEC members authorized the carrying out of an opinion poll by the Life Wings Public Association on the period 20 August – 10 September 2024. The poll will be taken in the northern Edinet district on an estimated sample of 1,500 respondents, based on the face-to-face interview or online.

Another survey authorized by CEC today will be carried out by the Municipal Enterprise C.B.S.-RESEARCH Ltd on the period 20-23 August 2024, on all the territory of Moldova, on an estimated sample of 1,000 respondents, based on interviewing by phone.
