Moldovan Central Electoral Commission: voters can request mobile voting starting from September 15

Voters starting from September 15 can request to vote at the place of their stay  during the parliamentary elections due on September 28, 2025. The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has presented the ways to request mobile voting.

According to the CEC, an individual who, due to health reasons or other valid reasons, cannot come to the polling station, can ask the electoral bureau to vote with the mobile ballot box.

"Requests must be made in written form, starting two weeks before the election day up until 14:00 of the day before voting. On election day, requests are approved by the electoral bureau until 14:00, only upon presentation of a medical certificate. Individuals who, due to health or other valid reasons, cannot travel to the polling station to submit the request personally, can send it through a family member or social worker, as applicable, a community social assistant," CEC said.

The request for voting at the place of residence must be personally completed by the voter who request the voting at the place of stay. It should include the following information: the applicant's identification details, the health reason or other valid reason making it impossible to travel to the polling station, if applicable - the name and surname of the person designated to submit the request on behalf of the applicant, the applicant's contact details and those of the person who submitted the request. A copy of the voter's identity document and, where applicable, supporting documents justifying the request, such as a medical certificate or note, must be attached to the application.

At the same time, requests for voting at the place of residence can be signed electronically and submitted to the official email address of the electoral authority.

The parliamentary elections will be held on September 28, this year. A total of 23 electoral competitors have been registered in the race.
