112 service, police implement new procedures for electoral calls

The national emergency call service 112 and the General Inspectorate of Police have established new working procedures for managing calls related to electoral incidents. The measures were decided during a joint meeting and aim to streamline the process of recording, classifying and resolving reports during the electoral period.

According to 112 Service Director Anatolie Viniciuc, electoral calls are received daily reporting: disinformation cases, campaign-related conflicts, illegal placement of electoral materials, and other situations associated with the electoral process.

“It is essential that calls regarding electoral incidents are treated with a clear methodology. We will introduce specific case indexes, which will allow for a more efficient management of these calls and better inter-institutional coordination,” Viniciuc said.

According to the responsible authorities, the measures come in the context of intensified electoral activities.
