Alert in travels: EVO documents not valid at border in Moldova
The Border Police warn travelers that digital documents generated through the EVO governmental application cannot be used for crossing the state border of Moldova.
According to the legislation, electronic documents do not replace the passport or ID card; thus, crossing the border is only possible with the original travel documents, presented to the border police officer.
Authorities recommend checking the validity and format of the documents in advance, in order to avoid unpleasant situations at control points.
