The Presidential Residence in Condrița hosted the second edition of the Forest Festival yesterday. The event was dedicated to environmental protection, promoting a sustainable lifestyle, and the involvement of citizens in the National Afforestation Program.

President Maia Sandu welcomed the presence of visitors at the event that promotes a greener and healthier future for everyone.

"Today at the Forest Festival, I met children, parents, and grandparents who love nature and believe in a greener future for the Republic of Moldova. Their care for the environment empowers the Forest Generation and shows us that together we can keep our country cleaner and healthier for everyone," stated Maia Sandu.

The event featured workshops, interactive exhibitions, debates, educational activities, and a fair with organic products. The atmosphere was complemented by musical programs and games for children.

The festival is organized by the Ministry of Environment and the Association of Environmental Journalists / Ecopresa, with support from the Office of the President of the Republic of Moldova, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and Lafarge Moldova. The event is part of the National Afforestation Program, conducted under President Maia Sandu's auspices, aiming to afforest about 145,000 hectares over 10 years.
