The ministers discussed opportunities for developing and diversifying sectoral partnership, with an emphasis on the economic and investment components.

“In Strasbourg, I had a constructive meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan. During this meeting, we discussed ways to capitalize on bilateral relations and expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest. Together with my Armenian counterpart, we agreed to organize, in the near future, a meeting of the Moldovan-Armenian Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation, which will boost cooperation between our countries,” said Mihai Popsoi.

Another important topic concerned regional security challenges, including hybrid threats and disinformation, as well as the need to strengthen response capacities to these risks.

The Armenian counterpart also extended an invitation to Minister Mihai Popsoi to pay a working visit to Yerevan, in order to continue the dialogue and strengthen relations between the two countries.
