
Moldovan PM says neutrality does not protect you, if tank comes towards you
Neutrality does not provide any protection, if someone comes to you with a tank. More and more people begin understanding how important self-defense capability is. Prime Minister Dorin Recean has made statements to this effect in an interview given with journalist Dmytro Gordon.
Dorin Recean opined that the only country that does not respect the neutrality of f Moldova was the Russian Federation.
"In 1992, they said: introduce neutrality in the Constitution and we will leave. Moldova became a neutral state by Constitution. But they are still there. The only country that does not respect our neutrality is the Russian Federation," Recean said.
The PM also said that "Russia, unfortunately, does not treat Moldova with respect".
"Just like in the case of Ukraine. I often wonder how you can build relationships with someone who does not respect you and does not respect your choice?" the official emphasized.
The prime minister noted that Moldova was a peaceful and hospitable country, which has its own path and does not want to become part of the Russian world.
The official urged the Russian Federation to invest in development and not in wars, to build a prosperous life, like in Europe.
The PM expressed gratitude for the courage and sacrifice of Ukrainians, noting that thanks to them, we currently have peace in Moldova.
"We have peace thanks to the courage and sacrifice of the Ukrainians. We are deeply grateful to them. We always emphasize how important it is to help Ukraine now," Dorin Recean added.
