President Maia Sandu has had a meeting with Moldovan citizens in Florence. The participants in the meeting discussed the European path of the country, as well as the bilateral agreements signed between Moldova and Italy, which bring tangible benefits to the citizens of both states.
The official emphasized that Moldova and Italy had very good cooperation in various fields.
“The closer relationship between Moldova and Italy, strengthened by your presence, has brought concrete results: an agreement that guarantees pensions for work carried out in Italy, wherever you choose to live, and a new agreement that allows for the exchange of all Moldovan driving licenses in Italy. And most importantly, we enjoy support for our European way,” said Maia Sandu.
The head of state thanked Moldovan citizens in Italy for staying close to Moldova.
“Dear Moldovans of Florence, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the warm meeting and for staying close to Moldova. Through your way of being – hardworking, honest, and respected – you spread good news about our country in Italy,” Maia Sandu stressed.
