
Moldovan foreign affairs minister says Moldova to stand by Ukraine in current crucial moments
The current regional challenges and security situation, in the context of the ongoing Russia’s aggression war against Ukraine have been discussed at a meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popsoi and his Ukrainian counterpart, Andriy Sybiha, on the sidelines of the Dubrovnik Forum.
According to a statement by the Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE), Deputy Prime Minister Popsoi reiterated the steadfast and unwavering support of Moldova for Ukraine.
At the same time, the ministers discussed topics of common interest on the bilateral cooperation agenda.
“Moldova will stay alongside Ukraine in these crucial moments. We are determined to steadfastly follow our common European path. The integration of Moldova and Ukraine into the European Union remains essential for ensuring lasting stability, peace and prosperity in the region,” said Minister Mihai Popsoi.
Minister Andriy Sybiha, for his part, emphasized the importance of strengthening the close cooperation between Ukraine and Moldova in the face of common challenges and in the efforts of both countries to integrate into the European Union.
Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popsoi on 12 July will participate in the Ministerial Meeting Ukraine–Southeast Europe, an event dedicated to coordinating regional efforts to support Ukraine's sovereignty and recovery.
