Polish president says Poland consistently supported Moldova, this not to change

Poland has consistently supported Moldova in various fields, and this will not change. President of Poland Karol Nawrocki today made statements to this effect in Warsaw, following a meeting with President Maia Sandu.

Karol Nawrocki noted that the meeting with Maia Sandu was proof of the good relations between the two states.

“We talked about the past, but we are thinking about our future around the ideas that unite both nations – sovereignty, independence and the direction of Western civilization. Poland consistently provides support to Moldova in many sectors, and this will not change,” Karol Nawrocki wrote on the X platform.

President Maia Sandu is paying an official visit to Poland on January 25–26, this year, at an invitation by President Karol Nawrocki. During the visit, she will meet  Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Marshal of the Senate Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska and Marshal of the Sejm of Poland Włodzimierz Czarzasty.

During a news conference, Maia Sandu emphasized that Poland had stood by the Moldova not only as a friend, but also as a partner in strengthening resilience – a practical resilience that protects citizens and sovereignty.
