Moldovan Prime Minister in talks with European official
The strong desire of the citizens of the Republic of Moldova to live in a free country with a developed economy is manifested not only at elections but also through our daily actions, which demonstrate that Moldovans are European and that we deserve to become EU members as soon as possible. Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu made the statement today. He had a meeting with President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola in Chisinau.
"It was a joy to meet today with Roberta Metsola, the President of the European Parliament - a dear friend of Moldova and a staunch supporter of our European path. The strong desire of our citizens to live in a free country with a developed economy is manifested not only at elections but also through our daily actions, which demonstrate that Moldovans are European and that we deserve to become EU members as soon as possible," said Alexandru Munteanu.
The official thanked the President of the European Parliament for the support provided to our country and emphasized that modernization, raising standards, and preparing to become a European state will continue at an accelerated pace.
"I thanked for the support offered by the European Parliament and for the trust they have in our ability to transform Moldova. Our future is European, and we are building it together here at home," mentioned Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu.
Metsola is paying an official visit to the Republic of Moldova on 6-7 November. This morning, the official attended the solemn session of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, where she delivered a speech.
The visit's agenda included meetings with head of state Maia Sandu and speaker Igor Grosu. Additionally, the President of the European Parliament will participate in a public event dedicated to young people, organized at "Spiru Haret" Theoretical High School in the capital.
