Victor Agrici nominated for position of Moldovan parliament's secretary general

Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu has put forward the candidacy of Victor Agrici for the position of parliament’s secretary general. The proposal was submitted to the legislature’s standing bureau at a today's meeting, the parliament's press service has reported.

Victor Agrici graduated from the University of Bologna (Italy), where he got a degree in political science, development and international cooperation. He currently serves as an advisor in the Office of the parliament speaker.

Throughout his career, Agrici has held more positions in parliamentary structures, including chief of staff of the Action and Solidarity Party’s faction and advisor in the Office of the deputy parliament speaker, starting from 2019.

According to the parliament's rules, the secretary general is appointed by the  parliament speaker, with consultation of the standing bureau and the opinion of the juridical commission for appointments and immunities.

The secretary general is in charge of ensuring the proper work of the parliament's working bodies and coordinating the institution's administrative activities.
