Victoria Furtuna starts electoral campaign for Moldovan president's position
Chisinau, 29 September /MOLDPRES/ - A candidate for the Moldovan president’s position on behalf of a group of citizens, Victoria Furtuna, started her electoral campaign today. The event took place in the Hancesti city.
The candidate unveiled more actions which are to be carried in the years to come.
„I launched the campaign in my native city of Hancesti, which unites the people through traditions, values, faith and wish for a New Moldova. I thank all those present, who came to listen how Moldova will develop in the next four years. Together, we are strong, and with God’s help, we can create the paradise here, at home, in Moldova,’’ Victoria Furtuna said.
Victoria Furtuna is 43 years old and is former prosecutor.
The electoral campaign for the presidential elections and the republican constitutional referendum, due on 20 October 2024, is carried out in Moldova.
The names of 11 candidates registered by the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) will be put down on the ballot paper: Alexandr Stoianoglo, nominated by the Moldovan Party of Socialists, Maia Sandu, nominated by the Action and Solidarity Party, Renato Usatii - Our Party, Vasile Tarlev - the Party for Moldova’s Future; Irina Vlah, nominated by citizens’ assembly; Ion Chicu - the Party of Development and Consolidation of Moldova; Andrei Nastase, nominated by citizens’ assembly; Octavian Ticu – TOGETHER Electoral Bloc; Victoria Furtuna; Tudor Ulianovschi; Natalia Morari, nominated by citizens’ assembly.
