On 6–10 April 2026, the Republic of Moldova is marking the national workplace health promotion week, with this year’s edition dedicated to the medical sector.

The event is organized by the National Agency for Public Health, in partnership with the Ministry of Health, Nicolae Testemițanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Healthy Life project, and medical and sanitary institutions.

The activities are held under the slogan Healthcare workers’ health – health for all and aim to promote safe working conditions and prevent occupational risks among medical staff.

Throughout the week, thematic workshops and information sessions will be organized in several districts of the country, including Rezina, Soroca, Hîncești and Căușeni.

The issues focus on the prevention of occupational diseases, identification of risk factors, monitoring employees’ health status, and promoting a safe work environment.

The event brings together public health specialists, medical staff, employers, and representatives of local authorities, contributing to strengthening efforts for a safer and more efficient healthcare system.

The organizers urge employers, healthcare workers, trade unions, and non-governmental organizations to participate actively in these activities, emphasizing that the health of medical staff is essential for the proper functioning of the entire health system.
