Chisinau, 19 October /MOLDPRES/ - The access to the Chisinau International Airport (AIC) will be allowed only to passengers, upon the presentation of the travel ticket or act, starting from today, at 20:00.

According to the Border Police, the boosting of the measures will be made through the enhancement of the operational capacities, exchange of information between the state’s security authorities, in order to prevent eventual attempts of destabilizing the law and order, to ensure the public security, security at border and citizens’ safety.

At the same time, under the decision by AIC’s risk managerial group, the access through the middle gate of the airport will be ceased and the access to the Airport will be possible through the access gates No 1 and No 3. Respectively, to exclude jams outside the Airport and to ease the flow of passengers, decision-makers demand the coming to the Airport three hours ahead of the scheduled flight at the latest.

In this respect, the Border Police employees will carry out operational activities of boosting the state border control and the security measures at the border crossing points, including at AIC. At the same time, police crews will ensure the easing of the road traffic, in order to avoid the appearance of jams on national roads.

The fostering of the activities takes place, in the context the escalation of the world risks, against the background of the war in Israel and statements by extremist organizations against the international community.
