Adrian Dupu ends work as State Secretary at DRRM
Adrian Dupu announced he will conclude his activity as State Secretary of the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova (DRRM) on 21 February, a position he held for four years.
In a message posted on his page, the official thanked his colleagues and stated that the Republic of Moldova and its citizens will forever remain in his heart.
'I took over an institution that very few people had heard of and turned it into a benchmark for relations between Romania and the Republic of Moldova. Although I am leaving the position today, the impact DRRM had will be felt for many years to come. Whether we are talking about educational projects carried out with universities or high schools, schools, kindergartens, or cultural projects that gathered hundreds of thousands of people, or we are talking about supporting the media or the church. DRRM managed to become one of the most respected Romanian institutions on the left of the Prut River,' Dupu opined.
By a decision of Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, Adrian Dupu was released from the position of State Secretary of the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova. The decision published on Thursday in the Official Journal of Romania stipulates that the duties of the state secretary will be carried out by Constantin-Valentin Răducanu, general director of the Directorate general for management, projects, legal affairs, until a new leader is appointed.
Adrian Dupu was appointed in 2021 as State Secretary at the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova by a decision of Prime Minister Florin Cîțu.
