As many as 210 influenza cases recorded in Moldova last week
Chisinau, 29 December /MOLDPRES/ - The National Public Health Agency (ANSP) has informed that 210 cases of seasonal influenza and 16,569 ones of acute respiratory infections were registered in the last week.
Potrivit ANSP, most cases of flu – 183, were recorded in Chisinau, followed by Ialoveni -10, Balti – 7, Edinet and Soroca – 2 cases each, Causeni, Orhei, Rezina, Straseni, Taraclia, Ungheni – one case each. A number of 131 (62.4 per cent) out of all people sick with flu were hospitalized.
As many as 519 flu cases, 109,023 cases of acute respiratory infections have been recorded since early last October till present. Their share out of all hospitalizations in medical institutions, no matter the case, varied between 2.9 and 5 per cent.
