As many as 229 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours
Chisinau, 20 December /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 5,583 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 229 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. There out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 372,429 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.
According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), six out of all infection cases are among medical employees (3 physicians and 3 medical assistants).
As many as 1,013 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 133 are in extremely serious condition and 22 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.
In the context, 2,560 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 8,495 are under supervision at home.
Another 461people have been treated. As many as 358,118 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.
At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 28 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 9,521 people have died of coronavirus in all.
