
As many as 2,449 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova
Chisinau, 31 January /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 8,760 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 2,449 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Sixteen out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 440,698 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.
According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 116 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (37 physicians, 57 medical assistants, 22 auxiliary staff employees).
As many as 2,862 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 158 are in extremely serious condition and 25 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.
In the context, 24,741 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 25,976 are under supervision at home.
Another 1,315 people have been treated. As many as 382,698 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.
At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 7 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 10,642 people have died of coronavirus in all.
