
Bus on Chișinău–Kiev route involved in road accident in Ukraine
A serious road accident occurred on the morning of 20 April near the locality of Pryvitne, Vinnytsia region in Ukraine, involving a bus conducting international passenger transport on the Chișinău–Kiev route. One passenger died, and four were injured. There are no citizens of the Republic of Moldova among victims.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, the bus was driven by a Moldovan citizen and had 41 passengers on board.
According to information provided by Ukrainian authorities through the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Kiev, the incident occurred around 10:40 am, when the driver lost control of the steering wheel, the bus left the roadway, fell into a ditch, and hit a tree.
As a result of the impact, four people were injured and taken to the hospital, and one person died. According to the information available so far, there are no citizens of the Republic of Moldova among the victims.
The Moldovan embassy in Kiev is in constant contact with Ukrainian authorities to clarify the circumstances of the accident and to provide consular support, if necessary.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it is monitoring the situation.
