Entrepreneurs urged to protect employees amid bad weather
The business community in the Republic of Moldova is being urged to adopt additional measures to protect employees and ensure the continuity of essential activities in the context of bad weather forecast for the coming period.
In this regard, the National Crisis Management Center recommends assessing the impact of the weather on economic activities and adapting internal work procedures. Suggested measures include organizing remote work or adjusting working hours, where the activity allows it.
At the same time, the need to ensure occupational safety and health conditions is emphasized, especially for activities carried out outdoors or in exposed areas, as well as maintaining in safe condition access roads, parking lots, sidewalks, and spaces adjacent to economic units.
Entrepreneurs are also encouraged to avoid excessive electricity consumption and to protect electrical equipment and installations from possible voltage fluctuations, including through the use of protective devices.
The authorities’ message aims to reduce risks for employees and prevent incidents that could affect both economic activity and the safety of communities.
