Future Minister of Health to be decided this afternoon

Today afternoon, it will likely be decided who the future Minister of Health will be, Ala Nemerenco said during the conference where she presented the activity report.

"If I receive the information, I will make it public to the press," the minister said.

The Health Minister mentioned that in recent years, the healthcare system has undergone major transformations to meet the expectations of citizens.

"I have no regrets. The digitalization sector has had the most arrears due to several technical and financial barriers. There is still much work to be done here," the minister opined.

Ala Nemerenco was appointed as Minister of Health on August 6, 2021, in the government led by Natalia Gavrilița. She took over the mandate from Viorica Dumbrăveanu, who previously held the position of Minister of Health, Labor, and Social Protection. Subsequently, she retained her mandate in Recean Government as well.

According to the legislation, the candidate for the position of prime minister must come with proposals for the new cabinet of ministers. Previously, the candidate proposed by PAS for the position of prime minister, Alexandru Munteanu, announced that some of the ministers in Recean Government might remain in their positions.
