Hundreds of public services for citizens, entrepreneurs, diaspora available on single platform: EVO portal launched in Chișinău

EVO integrated governmental portal, which brings together in one place all governmental digital services, platforms, and tools, was launched today in Chișinău. Thus, http://evo.gov.md becomes the single access point for public services and digital interaction with state institutions, intended for citizens, entrepreneurs and diaspora.

On the new platform, users will find, in a unified and accessible format, the governmental public services portal (servicii.gov.md); the Governmental Citizen Portal and the Legal Entities Portal (MCabinet); the integrated governmental application EVO; the Platform for the development of electronic services and other public-interest digital resources (PDSE).

Michelle Iliev, State Secretary for Digitalization at the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization (MDED) said that the purpose of launching the new portal is to make the relationship with the state clearer and faster for citizens and entrepreneurs, regardless of whether they are in the country or in any other corner of the world.

“We are not launching a simple portal, we are launching a single name, a single link, and a single point of access for interaction with the state and for all public services. We are launching the new portal with a simple goal: to make the relationship with the state clearer and faster for citizens, for businesses, no matter where they are in the country or in any other corner of the world. In short, we have a single gateway for all interaction with the state,” said Michelle Iliev.

The EVO portal does not replace the EVO application. The two tools were designed to work together as an ecosystem: the portal for fast and clear access, and the application for mobility.

In the next stage, the authorities plan to launch the digital wallet, which will complete the state’s digital ecosystem so that the development of future public services becomes easier and aligned with EU standards. “We are among the first countries in the EU to develop this unique digital wallet,” noted Michelle Iliev.

Nicoleta Colomeeț, Director of the E-Governance Agency (AGE), stated that, in developing the EVO portal, the focus was placed on user experience, by providing clearer service names, advanced search, simpler filters, information about digital or in-person (at the counter) services, as well as visible labels indicating whether an electronic signature is required or not.

Through evo.gov.md, users can sign electronic documents and verify signatures, quickly and securely pay for public services, grant representation rights to other persons, schedule appointments online with public institutions, access public data, and submit public petitions or information requests.

With EVO, individuals and legal entities can be sure that any interaction with the state takes place in a single, uniform, user-friendly framework, without bureaucracy and with full transparency, while the business community benefits from simplified procedures, reduced time, and more predictable interaction with the state.

The EVO portal was developed by the E-Governance Agency, under the aegis of the MDED, with support from development partners through the Innovate Moldova Program, funded by Sweden and the United Kingdom and implemented by the Moldova Development Foundation.
